Hi, I’m Matt! 

I am the CEO of HISPANIC BROADCASTING INC. in Houston, TX.  More importantly, I am a husband to my wife of 10 years, a father to 6 year old triplets, and a proud Catholic who has been blessed beyond belief.

I am a native Houstonian who has had the pleasure of serving my community and connecting with many other business professionals since graduating from St. Edward’s University in 2004.

Our primary business is operating Spanish radio station KYST 920 AM.  Better known simply as “La 920 AM”, our mission is to educate and empower our local Hispanic families by connecting them to Spanish speaking professionals.  KYST 920 AM is Houston’s only professional talk platform providing programs in Spanish that touch on topics such as real estate, health, finances, law, and other subjects important to our Latino families.

As a radio station with 36 years of experience, it was an easy progression to move into the fastest growing media today – PODCASTS.  We have created the most complete podcast service that includes professional recording, radio quality production, and distribution to all the major podcast platforms such as Apple Podcast and Spotify.

Podcasts are ideal for business professionals who are looking to establish themselves as a knowledgeable resource to their industry and is an EXCELLENT networking tool.  HOUSTON PODCAST STUDIO was built to help the busy professional efficiently create a high quality podcast without having to waste time or money on the technical side or back end.

While we primarily cater to those in the Greater Houston Area, we are able to help anyone across the country record, produce, and distribute their very own podcast!

Believe it or not, I am actually fairly introverted.  I have found many ways to overcome my fear of public speaking including creating my very own podcast cleverly titled “The Matt Velasquez Podcast”.

I started this project in early 2019.  With the new confidence I built up over the year and with the completion of our dedicated podcast recording studio, I decided to “reboot” my podcast and start fresh in order to truly highlight the capabilities of our services at HOUSTON PODCAST STUDIO.

In all honesty, I am an awful salesperson.  I cannot “sell ice to an Eskimo”, nor do I want to.  I want to help you find solutions to your problems.  Whether that is in creating a radio marketing campaign, or building up your personal brand through podcasting, or content creation for your social media platforms, I want to find ways to help you!
